Scamming My Way to Wealth

At eighteen, Si Min dreams that she'll go on to manipulate online trends, deceive the public, and become a huge influencer, only to be bitten back by the people she once scammed online at twenty-two. She'll be cyberbullied, smeared, have a memorial portrait photoshopped, and be hunted down and hacked to death by an obsessive hater.

Fresh out of the college entrance exams, Si Min wakes up unconvinced. But when she sees the multiple online chat partners on her alternate account and the many red envelopes in her account, she falls into deep thought.

Should she turn over a new leaf and become the very embodiment of truth, goodness, and beauty, the kind even the haters claim doesn't exist, give up chasing traffic, and hope no one cyberbullies her or comes to hack her to death?

She says no.

Her family is ordinary, and she figures she'll probably get into a second-tier university. She's already worried about the miserable future of earning only four or five thousand yuan a month after graduation, with just one day off a week and endless overtime.

All Si Min can do is tread the same path more carefully and carve out her own shining road.

At eighteen: With one stolen picture and a voice changer, Si Min can make 5,000 yuan a month if she works hard. So many crimes, so many crimes.

At twenty-two: With the same hands, Si Min edits videos until she nearly gets tendonitis, but helps countless fans who follow her study check-ins earn their admission letters.

A hater asks Si Min: From online scammer to major influencer, have you whitewashed your image?

Si Min: Someone says I've whitewashed my image? I haven't.

Then she holds up her official award and tells the haters to speak up.
