First Version
In the years of the Bakumatsu and Meiji eras, cursed spirits and demons ran rampant. Man-eating ghouls roamed the streets at night, and the heads of the Gojo and Zenin families killed each other in a duel, making an already dire situation even worse.
Luckily, a number of mysterious powerhouses stepped in.
The Limitless technique smashed the Yamata no Orochi flat.
A Kikyo seal condemned Hagoromo Gitsune to eternal damnation.
Then the Wood Release: Nativity of a World of Trees suppressed the evil spirits.
Finally, Sun Breathing beat the boss into foaming at the mouth.
People later discovered that all these powerhouses were the same person.

The protagonist, struggling to memorize The Book of Divination, kept a blank expression. “Thanks for asking. I’m just doing the powerhouses’ homework for them.”
Second Version
At three years old, Yizhu put on a ninja uniform. A cheerful, booming voice spoke in his ear: “A ninja from another world? If I agree, you can learn my techniques? Ha ha ha, how interesting! Want to learn Wood Release from me?”
Once he learned how to disguise himself, dressing up as an onmyoji, a Jujutsu Sorcerer, a mafia member, and even a demon from hell, powerhouses from different worlds started a mahjong parlor inside his head.
Today he practices Wood Release, and a thousand acres of fertile land appear before his eyes. Tomorrow he summons shikigami, and a celestial fox and demon child lull him to sleep. The bandaged, black-mud spirit teaches him how to read people, the underworld's assistant director teaches him how to handle official business, and even Japan's strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer, usually too lazy to do more than watch, insists on getting involved to teach him how to develop talent.
When he finally looks back, he discovers that he's become the universally acknowledged dad of the underworld.
Inspired by my unresolved feelings about Laughing Under the Clouds. Lots of changes to the source material, mountains of headcanon, and severe OOC. Read with caution if you're familiar with the original. Pairing: Tenpaku.
The original is set during the Meiji Restoration, and since all the works involved are set in modern Japan, I muddled the timelines and brought them together with Demon Slayer. The original features onmyoji and a great serpent, so I made it a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, the Yamata no Orochi, and crossed it over with Jujutsu Kaisen.
