Hikaru No Go: Just Like You (He Jiajia BG)

Opening words: "No one else will ever be like you, running through my youth and my whole life." He Jiajia never imagined that Lu Zhao, a girl, would see him at his most pathetic, the only time he ever lost a fight. She even bandaged his wounds and, like a kindergarten teacher, dragged him to the hospital to get a cast. She looked like an ordinary high school student, but He Jiajia was still a coward, and stayed one for years. He was such a coward that he lied to her, told her to close her eyes, and then disappeared. He Jiajia did not know if she was angry or if she had ever looked for him. But whenever he passed by her university, he never dared to go in. Until one autumn, a fire broke out and burned down the university library. With smoke billowing everywhere, He Jiajia clipped on a safety rope and leaped through the window like a madman. He kept thinking there was still someone inside, someone he would never leave behind again for the rest of his life. "If I hadn't closed my eyes, would you not have disappeared?" "If I hadn't fallen asleep, would you not have appeared?" "You were the one who disappeared back then. I want you to make it up to me for the rest of your life." I remember every word you said back then, clear as day. Look, here I am. As always: If it's not your thing, don't read it! No trolling! OOC and plot holes are on me, and my personal headcanons are everywhere. Check out the neighboring Yu Liang BG story, "The Wallflower Boy," in my author page, and please give it a follow!
