Hikaru, My One and Only Childhood Friend

I once met a boy in my closet. We grew up together, through childhood and adolescence. I thought we'd go on like that forever, even though I knew we were each other's secret, and in our separate worlds, we were the only ones who could see that the other existed. Like an absurd dream, but also the joy of youth. Like two clouds at different heights: even when they seem to overlap, they can never actually meet. We never met. Until at last, we were together.
