My Harem Is All Slacking Off

[I think I should explain. I've started a third book, The Entire Harem Is Full of Big Shots Except Me. Here's why I suddenly decided to write a sequel after so long: I feel like I never got around to delivering on the line in the original blurb, "Later, when people talked about this country, they would say: not only was the emperor amazing, but every member of his harem was a big shot!" After the last event, I felt really guilty, so I decided to give everyone an ending after all. That's why I started the sequel. Think of it as tying up the story.] Blurb: I am a tragic emperor. My imperial power has been hollowed out, and the regent controls the government single-handedly. Later, I find out that the regent is a reborn, overpowered male lead. He left me on the throne only because he wanted to spend his life with his wife, just the two of them. My empress is obsessed with farming and never pays me any attention. The entire imperial garden has become her vegetable patch, and she always seems to have an endless supply of wealth. Later, I find out that she has something called a "pocket dimension," where precious medicinal herbs grow at incredible speed. My Noble Consort is a skilled martial artist who always looks down on me for being too weak to fight. Later, I find out that in her previous life she was the leader of the martial arts world, and the potion she drank when she was reincarnated had expired. My concubine always manages to avoid me. In ten years in the palace, I've never even seen her. Later, I find out that she transmigrated into a book as an unlucky female side character and mistook me for the male lead. She'll do anything to stay away from me. My other consorts... But there's something they don't know about me. I'm actually... a cultivator. After ascending, I had nothing to do, so I came to play at being emperor. Later, when people talked about this country, they would say: Not only was the emperor amazing, but every member of his harem was a big shot! And so I made history: no country dared to fight mine. Please note: 1. No romance. Although the male lead has consorts, he has no feelings for them and no other improper relationships. 2. A silly, slice-of-life story. 3. Written in third person. 4. Everyone is powerful, not just the male lead. The consorts and the regent are all big shots. The Story Is Old-Fashioned, but the Passerby Is Normal As times change, many old-fashioned Mary Sue stories seem completely ridiculous by today's standards. So when Lu Momo transmigrates into one of these old-fashioned stories, she becomes the only normal person in it... One day, the male lead makes his entrance. Students line both sides of the school gate to welcome him, crying out about how handsome he is while watching the male and female leads meet for the first time. Only Lu Momo runs past them at full speed: Aah! I'm going to be late for a required class! In the end, Lu Momo is the only student at the school to make it to class on time. Her counselor and professor praise her highly, and all the other students look at her with respect. What? Someone can resist the temptation of a handsome guy and juicy gossip! Later, the male lead bullies the female lead, as the genre demands, and she silently puts up with it, tears in her eyes. Their classmates watch from the sidelines: some mock her, some are scared, and some feel sorry for her. Lu Momo can't take it anymore, so she tells the counselor. When the counselor says, "His family is so rich, I don't dare provoke him," Lu Momo suggests, "You could call his parents." The counselor suddenly realizes, "Oh, right. I have his dad's number!" A few days after the semester starts, Lu Momo realizes that none of the students ever study. To make sure the male and female leads have time to date, the school has ten-minute classes and forty-minute breaks! During break, the entire school goes off to act as extras in the leads' romance. With nothing else to do, Lu Momo reads and does her homework. So when finals come around, Lu Momo ranks first in the school and snatches the top scholarship away from the female lead by a landslide. Lu Momo: ...It's not that I'm exceptionally good. The female lead never studies. Even if she's supposed to be a genius, this is taking it too far. Seeing this, the female lead comes to her senses. Wait, I need to study hard, get a good job, and help my family. Forget dating! I'm going to study! And so Lu Momo, the most unremarkable passerby, becomes a sensation at school simply because she's so normal. Along the way, she also gradually sets all the people in the Mary Sue story straight... At last, Lu Momo graduates and finds a job. She thinks she's finally escaped the Mary Sue story. But one day at work, she sees a new employee with "innocent beauty" written all over her face rushing into the elevator reserved for the CEO... Lu Momo: SHIFT!
