Little One: A Cry for Help, Aw!

Fuyun was the youngest son of Prince An. Legend said he could read fate and determine good and bad fortune, and that when he grew up, he would bring blessings to all under heaven. But by the time Fuyun turned five, he realized all he could do was go "Awooo, awoo" like a little wolf. His family had changed, too. He didn't understand why his father never let him leave his room, or why his mother wore a chain around her neck and ate the same food as the wolves. His father even brought him a little chain, coaxing him to wear it together with his mother. Five-year-old Fuyun was always cold, dressed up like a fluffy little ball. He gazed quietly at Prince An with round eyes and shook his head. At night, Fuyun hid in the wardrobe. His mother was still asleep on the carpet, while Prince An searched for him with a dog leash in his hand. When the pitch-black wardrobe was suddenly flung open, Fuyun looked at the demon before him and spoke his first words ever: "Awooo!" The next instant, a clear mirror of water appeared before his eyes. On the other side were the emperor and empress dowager, roused in the middle of the night, along with countless noblemen and officials, and even ordinary people living peacefully in the city's streets and alleys. The empress dowager clutched her chest in fury. "I knew your father had lost his mind!" Officials and commoners: "Prince An, hurry up and die :)" The emperor was even more direct. He reached through the water mirror and punched Prince An squarely in the head. Little Fuyun tilted his head and watched, still sitting quietly in the wardrobe with his little fist in his mouth so he wouldn't start going "Awooo, awoo" again. He understood now: whatever he said could be heard by everyone under heaven, as long as he could speak. [The protagonist is a wolf boy raised by humans. His mother is human.] [An alternate ancient setting, doted on by everyone, healing and redemption, not too long] 2020.12.27 Theme: May justice prevail in the world, and may victims find salvation.
