Chu Lou transmigrates into a cultivation novel as a stand-in for the entire immortal realm's moonlight, the story's official love interest.
According to the original plot, because he refuses to be a stand-in, the senior disciple deceives him and the Demon Lord frames him. His reputation is ruined, and he eventually ends up kept like a canary...
"Wait!" Chu Lou rolls up his sleeves. "What's so bad about being a stand-in? The senior disciple of the greatest immortal sect, the Demon Lord... They must all be rich! I'm going to make a fortune."
The next day, he writes up a sign and hangs it around his neck.
