After Stealing My Deskmate's Luck

Only after Su Mo died did she learn that she was a cannon-fodder character in a beloved-by-all story. After stealing someone else's luck and derailing the plot, she had gone from cannon fodder to villain.

The boy whose luck she had stolen was the only person who had ever treated her well. But after she took his good fortune, misfortune followed him at every turn, and he died in a car accident at eighteen.

Given another chance at life, Su Mo wanted only to return Lu Xun's good fortune to him.

Lu Xun had always thought no one could love him, until the top student in his grade became his deskmate.

She always looked at him with a gentle smile. Whenever he glanced her way, her eyes lit up with joy.

She cooked for him, bought him long johns, hand warmers, cake, and a down jacket... Even when he snapped at her, she smiled.

She told him to study hard so they could go to the same university someday.

That night, Lu Xun set himself a goal: to come second in the grade.

One evening, Lu Xun saw his deskmate standing outside a cake shop, gazing pitifully through the window at the delicious cakes inside.

The next day, he bought her a strawberry cake. She clearly loved it, but secretly gave away the cake he had bought her and lied that it was delicious.

Everyone said Su Mo loved him desperately and would do anything for him. But when he fell in love with her, she didn't want him.

Later, Lu Xun cornered Su Mo against a wall. The boy looked fierce, but his words were soft. "I'll give you half my good fortune. In exchange, will you let me claim the wish you promised me?"
