Retainer

A short new story, just for fun. Updates follow the rankings before signing, then daily afterward. For a story with reliable daily updates, see Card Game.

One-on-one. No polyamory.

A devastatingly beautiful top.

A story about four (probably) men fighting tooth and nail to win the top's favor.

The top's combat ability and looks are off the charts. He's a clueless, painfully straight man.

The bottom is strong.

The top is a retainer, the bottom is royalty. A subordinate overturns his superior.

The top has only ever loved the rightful bottom. With everyone else, he simply does his duty in his position; there is no love involved.

If you think the top is an honest, simple man, you're just imagining things.

Later, the top unlocks his hidden identity: he's a big shot.

The bottoms are all very forward, even when they put on a reserved front. Inside, they're all stirred up.

Qin Zong discovers that every one of his masters has designs on him. "I'll risk my life for you, but I won't sell my body. Thanks."

Qi Shenshi is often uneasy. He knows Qin Zong should be an eagle soaring high in the sky, yet he's chained him to the ground.

"Qin Zong, you heartless blockhead! You said your life was mine and you'd do anything I asked, so why can't you love me?"

"A retainer is lowly and dares not bring shame upon his master. If the master is disgraced, the retainer must die."

Jiang Shen murdered his brothers and deposed his father to seize an imperial throne that was never meant to be his. Born proud, he conquered the realm and ruled its people, confident he would become an emperor for the ages.

"The world is mine. Ever since I was a child, everything I've ever wanted has ended up in my hands."

"I serve the ruler who pays my salary. That's all."

Theme: Unwavering love and striving forward.
