1.
Three hundred years ago, Yin Chuiyun lost her master. She risked her life to save a wisp of his remaining soul, then collapsed from exhaustion and fell into a deep slumber.
Three hundred years later, as soon as she woke up, she heard that a certain immortal treasure had reappeared in the world and everyone was scrambling to get it.
That treasure, of all things, was the very object where she had stored her master's remaining soul.
Yin Chuiyun: ...
Put that thing down!
2.
With no other choice, Yin Chuiyun descended to the mortal realm to search for the treasure. Along the way, she happened upon a young master who had run away from home. His name was Jiang Weiming, and he was terribly spoiled, complaining about this and that. Yin Chuiyun put up with it all because the young master had a face exactly like her master's.
Later, Yin Chuiyun met the young master's twin brother, Jiang Weiqing. Not only did he look like her master, but his words and mannerisms were similar too. He was composed and quiet, though a little cold.
Unable to help herself, Yin Chuiyun secretly looked after them. The more she did, the stranger both young masters' gazes became.
Yin Chuiyun: Thanks for asking, but no. I'm taken, even if the grass on my partner's grave is already three meters tall.
3.
But Yin Chuiyun never imagined that the wisp of her master's soul she had searched for all this time had been right in front of her. And somehow, it had become two of them. Double the trouble.
Male leads' perspectives:
Jiang Weiming knew that living together was basically the same as being betrothed, so he threatened to kill himself unless his parents agreed to his marriage to that strange woman. But when he proposed, the strange woman looked completely bewildered. "Betrothed? What betrothal?"
Jiang Weiqing knew Yin Chuiyun had never truly held either of them in her heart, but he had always believed she felt something different for him. Only later did he realize that when she looked at him that way, she had been thinking of someone else.
-A carefree, big-hearted, rough-around-the-edges heroine x gentle, aloof, powerful master / taciturn, thoughtful, aristocratic older brother / proud, hot-tempered, innocent younger brother
-One-on-one romance; the heroine only loves her master. The master's soul is split into pieces early on, then reunites.
-All the melodramatic tropes: master and disciple, reborn, replacement, and a love-triangle showdown. It's got everything.
-The age difference is handled throughout: three hundred years ago, they were master and disciple; three hundred years later, the heroine is powerful and sees them as a bunch of little kids.
-Strong girl x boy elements. Read with caution.
