The Coroner Sees Ghosts

If an autopsy doctor could see ghosts, would that make him all the more formidable?

Blurb One

Ghost One, looking confused: I don't know, I don't know. I don't know anything!

Ji He, giving him a disdainful look: What do you know, then?

Ghost Two, in denial: I don't believe he did it. Could you investigate a little more?

Ji He, pitying the idiot: Moron! You don't even know you've offended someone.

Ghost Three, feigning confidence: I fell down the mountain myself. My brother had nothing to do with it.

Ji He, righteous and resolute: I only believe in evidence.

Ghost Four, cautiously moving closer: Why do you feel so familiar?

Ji He stares thoughtfully at the glowing orb before him, its gold and blood-red hues mingled like marble: A ghost with immense merit and a mountain of sins. It can't be... him, can it?

Much later

A golden cord snakes out of the orb and wraps around him... Ji He raises a hand and gives a certain ball a shake, as if he's holding a meteor hammer. Is he really this clingy? How did I never notice before?

Blurb Two

After returning to the world of his origin and taking up his old profession again, Ji He must find the cause of the world's abnormal cycle of reincarnation: the first ghost. Find him, and solve the problem.

Rational bottom who reincarnates x devoted top who becomes a ghost after death

Both are pure-hearted and secretly in love with each other. The top has to keep the shape of a meteor hammer for a long time, though he's still pretty cute... right?
