Underworld, Hall of Yanluo

The Judge flipped through the Book of Life and Death with a headache. "Team Leader Lin, complaints are over the limit again this month."

Lin Zhengwen swung her soul-hooking rope and sneered. "Let them complain. If they've got the guts, they can come down here and say it to my face."

No one knew that this "Underworld cop," who terrified evildoers in the mortal realm, had actually been a living troublemaker who always turned acts of heroism into violent incidents...

*

One year earlier, in the human world

Just before she died, Lin Zhengwen split open a knife-wielding thug's head with a brick.

As she lay in a pool of blood, she heard the underworld officials discussing her:

"Her? A virtuous person for ten lifetimes? Did the Heavenly Dao make a mistake?"

As it turned out, the Heavenly Dao needed a troublemaker like her.

After her death, Lin Zhengwen began climbing the ranks as an underworld civil servant. She went from a Night Patrol Deity roaming the mortal realm to leader of a special operations team in the Eighteenth Level of Hell.

Her motto: specialize in dealing with human scum, and enforce the law across realms.

And so...

The bosses of polluting companies fell into lava hell night after night;

Keyboard warriors felt knife-sharp pain in their fingertips with every word they typed;

Wife-beaters were beaten into mental collapse inside illusions...

Lin Zhengwen's family watched the news in silence. "...Well, that's that. The laws of the mortal realm really can't touch her now."

From then on, Lin Zhengwen made a name for herself in both the mortal realm and the underworld, earning titles like "Underworld KPI Reaper," "Underworld Cop," and "Outlaw Beyond the Law."

Theme: Good and evil receive their due, and society can be made better.
