The Horror Comic Artist

Struggling horror comic artist Qi Zhen got bound to a "Great Artist Development System." As long as he completed the daily missions, his work would get all kinds of exposure.

But after drawing eighty thousand pictures in a fury, Qi Zhen realized that something seemed a little off.

At first, he only dreamed that the characters he drew were praying to him devoutly;

Then the evening news began reporting sightings of creatures resembling the fantastical beings he had created;

And one day, Qi Zhen opened his eyes to find thirteen "Gates" in the real world. The worlds beyond them were the very settings of the thirteen comics he had created.

-- In the comic worlds, all things bowed before him.

-- In the real world, his comics... became a hit.

Qi Zhen looked at the System, then at the balance in his bank account, which had suddenly skyrocketed.

...Maybe nothing was really wrong after all?

·

Overnight, thirteen "Gates" appeared around the world.

Monsters ran rampant and eldritch creatures danced beyond the Gates, but those worlds were also full of opportunities and temptations.

People discovered that the worlds beyond the Gates had originated from comics. By studying the plots, they could reap plenty of benefits inside.

So some people began frantically buying up comics, some planned to track down the author, and even more wanted to find the comic artist named "Qi Zhen" and kill him on the spot.

And yet--

Monsters revered him as their king, and eldritch creatures called him their master.

Countless evil spirits lurked in the world, solely to protect their one and only treasure.

Standing above all the Gates, the young man casually spun his pen.

"Make the story easier? Sorry, but I'm a professional horror comic artist."

· The protagonist is chaotic good. His "good" side shows in the fact that he never abandons a project.
