A Letter to My Wife

Ancient times:

Years pass. After Frost's Descent, ink is ground and laid in half a stack of sheets. I listen as you tell stories of partings and reunions. A candle flower falls, red wax hardening in a fold of the scroll. Is that where you and I are written?

Modern times:

The modern lives of Miss Shen and Miss Xia.

"I came running to you from a thousand miles away."

Theme: This story is dedicated to my tragic ship.
