The Demon King's Search

Maya, the sole survivor of an airship crash, arrives in a city called Baishi to search for her lost memories.

Using her special ability to see "will," she searches for her past, but keeps getting drawn into one incident after another.

A boy of unknown age: "I... can I go with you?"

The demon king of the Public Security Group: "This time, I won't give you another chance to pull a trick."

A tanuki transformed into a handsome man: "I love you!"

A mysterious blonde woman: "Big sister, I've missed you so much..."

After that, the boy betrays her, the tanuki leaves her, and her body is stolen.

Just when Maya is at her wits' end, the demon king who is always giving her a hard time appears beside her and reaches out a hand...

Only later does Maya learn that, years ago, a young man named Arthur willingly entered hell so that she could escape her cage.

[Male lead's perspective]

His childhood friends: one fell into an endless sleep before his eyes and was buried in his memories; the other was forced to leave and remained in the past.

To prevent a similar tragedy from happening again, Arthur spent ten years clearing away the fog, yet he could never catch the tail of that two-headed snake.

Until she returned here.

Maya notices that the notorious womanizer and demon king keeps staring at her. Sorry, but she won't become a prisoner of those (beautiful) blue eyes.

Maya: "I don't need friends, roommates, lovers, or paramours."

Arthur: "I heard your dog just died. I can take its place."

Maya: "???"

She had a golden retriever, not a wolf!
