Steampunk: When a Native Regains His Memories

Ai Wen Noah is the devoted backup admirer of the protagonist in the novel Sword and Rose.

He's the protagonist's wallet.

When the protagonist can't afford tuition, Ai Wen pays.

When the protagonist has no weapon, Ai Wen pays.

When the protagonist is injured and has no medicine, Ai Wen pays.

After graduation, the protagonist and the male lead leave together to make their mark in the colonies, leaving Ai Wen heartbroken.

That was how the story was supposed to go. Then, on Ai Wen's fifteenth birthday, one year after the protagonist of the novel was reborn, Ai Wen Noah regained the memories of his previous life.

Ai Wen was devastated.

In his previous life, he had been a freelance web novelist who made a little money on the side. Before he died, he had been updating his own novel, Sword and Rose.

So.

Ai Wen decided to stay away from the plot, stop interfering in the leads' relationship, and quit being the backup admirer with the bottomless wallet.

Then, at the Imperial Knight Academy, Ai Wen fell in love at first sight with the beautiful head librarian.

Sara Adams had come to the Imperial Knight Academy to escape the advances of the empire's First Prince and take a job as head librarian. "?! I only went to a bar to find someone who could break my curse. How did I end up picking someone who's a student at my own academy? And why is he so enthusiastic and impossible to shake off?!"

Ai Wen: "You're my angel, my morning star!"

Sara, looking at the First Prince and all the nobles she'd killed, wondered, "Is there something wrong with this kid's head?"

Ai Wen: "There is no one in this world as pure and noble as you. My love for you will never fade, even if the world ends!"

The romance takes a while to heat up, but the protagonist, Ai Wen, is a hopeless romantic.
