The Kitties Always Want to Cuddle Up to Me

[Revised and updated after the neighboring story is complete]

Bai Jin is a cat-attracting arsonist. No exaggeration: whenever she walks home, a trail of cats of every kind follows behind her, meowing, come rain or shine.

Bai Jin: But I like dogs! My Wangwang can cook me three dishes and a soup every day!

The cats: Big Sis, it's time to scoop the litter!

Bai Jin (quickly putting on a mask): Coming, coming! QAQ

As a professional cat servant, Bai Jin seems to scoop something different out of the litter box every day.

First, a green-and-white mushroom treasured by a certain plumber.

Then a green card for permanent residency in Catland... and even the identity of a Catland imperial consort?!

Wait! It's really weird for these things to show up in a litter box...

Later, after finally setting foot on Blue Star again and returning to the cat cafe, Bai Jin spots the baby-faced manager busily working inside. Smiling, she pushes the door open.

"I'm back to work!"

++++

On Blue Star, being a caretaker is a pretty good job.

Human beings seem utterly unable to resist cute little creatures with big eyes, short noses, and round faces.

Almost every caretaker falls prey to the irresistible belief that "my baby is the cutest in the world."

To protect the little ones who carried the future of Catland, the caretakers transported the entire kindergarten to Blue Star, before the age of interstellar travel began.

From then on, the kindergarten transformed into a popular cat cafe.

The kittens' safety was taken care of, but... what about their puppy love?

Help! Answers wanted, urgently!

Reader's Guide:

+ One-on-one romance, with a caretaker as the love interest

+ Not a traditional, hardcore (punctuation) interstellar story

+ Contains ABO elements. The whole story has been extensively revised, so consider this a tentative pre-release?

+ There are no actual little children in the kindergarten, but there are fluffy creatures. This is not a childcare story

+ Written with total abandon. No brains, no logic, just having fun

Theme: Life should be full of hope
