Among ten thousand dragon ships, green silk threads entwined,
They carried their passengers to Yangzhou, and none returned.
Perhaps Heaven commanded the Bian River to be opened,
For more than a thousand miles of land lay without a mountain.

The mighty ruler launched distant campaigns and conscripted laborers to build the Grand Canal. Rebellions by unruly people broke out from time to time, with upstarts proclaiming themselves kings and chaos beginning to emerge. Those who used force to defy the law were everywhere. Princess Changzhao compared herself to Fu Hao, the warrior consort of Shang, and requested permission to quell the unrest. The emperor agreed. Within a few years, peace reigned across the realm, and he joked that with both tigers and leopards at his side, how could he fail to claim the world? The tiger was Duke Pei, and the leopard was the princess. In time, the saying of the tiger and leopard spread.
Anecdotes of the World: Changzhao
Arrogant and beautiful, she looked down on all beneath her.
The jianghu and the imperial court alike bowed before the Mandate of Heaven.
“You petty little states dare to spout such nonsense here?”
“You should know that the common people have their rules, officials have theirs, and people of the jianghu should have their own as well.”
“Outrageous!”
“Those who harm the people shall die. Those who abduct and plunder women shall die.”
“I will cut down this rebel who dares defy their superior. Anyone who tries to stop me will meet the same fate!”
* Princess Changzhao Yang Ying, the emperor's full sister, with the childhood name Baozhu. Her fief was Luoyang, so Luoyang is often used to refer to her.
Someone once asked: What is a princess?
Ying replied: The ruler's realm has no boundaries; it is one nation. And the finest thing in a nation is its princess.
PS:
The dynasty is inspired by the Sui and Tang, but the Sui has been changed to Wei to make the plot easier to handle. Think of it as a fictional dynasty drawing on the state of the Sui.
The CP is undecided. Expect plenty of wish fulfillment and exhilarating moments. A synthesis of the works of Jin, Gu, Wen, and Huang. An unconventional wuxia fanfic, with no transmigration or being reborn.
Theme: Combating organized crime and evil.
