Behind Shen Jixue, the foremost disciple of Yujing Immortal Mansion, there was always a little shadow: his junior sister, Zhu Qingyu.
Even at a young age, Junior Sister Zhu was always stern-faced. She trained harder than anyone else and was a sword fanatic through and through.
So no one could have imagined that a girl so serious and rigid she seemed almost dim-witted would be daring enough to fall in love with a Heavenly Demon, flee Yujing Immortal Mansion for him, and harm her fellow disciples, becoming a wicked woman reviled by all.
"Zhu Qingyu! How can you answer for such deeds to the senior brother who once loved and protected you?"
In truth, the person Zhu Qingyu hated most in this life was her senior brother, Shen Jixue.
She hated that he was like a moon high in the heavens, always treating her coldly;
she hated that he insisted on separating her from the one she loved;
she hated him so much that she gouged out his eyes with her own hands, then ran a sword through his chest.
In the end, after committing every kind of wicked deed, she reached a dead end and was driven into the Demon-Slaying Sword Formation.
That night, moonlight flowed like water. The young man, his eyes covered with white silk, came in person to kill her.
Before the sword formation activated, Shen Jixue asked, "Was it worth doing all this for a Heavenly Demon?"
"Why wouldn't it be?" She raised her head to look at him, hatred and defiance in her eyes. "What would someone as heartless as you know?"
At the time, Zhu Qingyu did not know that Shen Jixue had come to die with her.
She knew even less that the reason she hated Shen Jixue was simply that he did not love her.
She hated the moon hanging high above, shining on everyone but her.
Only later did she realize that the moon had always belonged to her alone.
A possessive, obsessive junior sister x an aloof senior brother who is like a father to her
Both leads are reborn. A bittersweet reunion after a broken relationship (sweet > bitter)
1. The senior brother and junior sister have very strong mutual feelings.
2. The male lead suffering does not mean the female lead gets to enjoy herself.
3. In their past life, the male lead witnesses the female lead being lovey-dovey with the second male lead.
4. The female lead is emotionally volatile, obsessive, rebellious, insecure, sensitive, and stubborn as a mule. She's a gloomy, self-destructive female ghost, twisted up inside and unable to tell love from hate. She loves the male lead without realizing it, and has no idea how to express that love. She's not a perfect character, but will gradually heal and find peace with herself as she grows. Readers with little tolerance for the female lead should proceed with caution!
5. This is a romance-focused story, with the female lead's personal growth as the main plot.
(Inspired by a gender-swapped version of Dying in Front of Senior Brother.)
