Did I Wake Up Too Early? Why Is There a Health Bar Above My Head?

Coming soon: From the Start, Talent: Absolute Nausea [Highway Survival] ↓ Synopsis and direct link Fan Xi felt like the day had turned into a bizarre dream. Maybe something had gone wrong during the interview. Maybe the interview had left her dazed. Somehow, she saw a green health bar appear over the interviewer's head. When she dropped something on his foot, the green bar really did tick down by "-1." What did that mean? Did even Heaven think the interviewer had been messing her around, and give her a chance to beat him up? Clearly not. Because Fan Xi thought she was probably just exhausted and decided to go home and rest. But when she opened her eyes, her home had turned into a game arena. This was a story I wrote in 2021, probably in a fit of frantic inspiration after going crazy looking for a job that year. I'm posting it now to get some advance interest in my new novel. Coming soon: From the Start, Talent: Absolute Nausea When Sang Sang opened her eyes, she found herself dragged into a bizarre Highway Survival game. The rules were simple and brutal: everyone had to draw a vehicle and cover the required daily distance, or be swallowed by the ink-black miasma of filth behind them. The vehicles were assigned completely at random. Some people stole someone else's tractor, van, or motorhome and hit the road without a worry. Sang Sang stared at the hot-pink baby stroller in front of her and fell into thought. "I'm only five feet tall. With my short arms and legs, I couldn't walk at 3.6 kilometers per hour even if I stopped eating and drinking, could I?" "And I have to push a stroller?" Since there's no way out alive, then fine, I'll die. What else can I do, stay alive? Sang Sang turned around decisively and spread her arms to embrace the miasma. Just as she was about to set the record for the fastest death in the game, a bizarre scene unfolded. "Bleugh!" The miasma, which devoured everything, took one taste of Sang Sang and immediately threw up! [ Ding!
