When a Female Cultivator Saved a Snake

Ming Hu had only saved a little snake demon on a whim. She never expected him to cling to her from then on. The little snake demon, still innocent and clueless, asked in confusion why he felt so strange whenever he saw her: his heart felt warm, and he felt happy... The not-yet-enlightened little snake demon could barely explain himself, his words all muddled and jumbled. Ming Hu understood. She sighed and replied, "I suppose that's what they call liking someone." She couldn't help thinking that it took a truly foolish snake to fall for a human cultivator. ◆ Years later, the little snake demon Mo Jiu had become a mighty demon king. At a gathering, he smiled lazily and mocked the other demon kings to their faces, saying they weren't even as good as a mongrel. Yet whenever he returned home and saw his beloved wife, all the sharpness in his eyes and brows melted away, leaving only cloying affection. Mo Jiu took her hand and swung it gently. "Ming Hu... could you keep me company while I work in the study?" Ming Hu sighed again. Why had he only grown more fond of acting spoiled? His subordinates could hardly bear to watch.
