HP: The Life and Lies of Harry Potter

Rita Sharp has a grandmother named Rita Skeeter, whom she greatly admires. Her grandmother wrote the magnificent biography The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore.

As a child, Rita secretly vowed that she would write a celebrity biography more famous than her grandmother's. Her grandmother told her that after Dumbledore's death, the most famous wizard in the magical world was none other than the Chosen One, Harry Potter.

Rita started trying to interview the Chosen One early on, but every attempt was rejected.

Then news of the Chosen One's death came out, and Rita knew her chance had arrived...

Ron: If you're not buying anything, stop bothering the other customers! Oh, Merlin's beard, could you stop asking the students about Harry?

Hermione: Miss, please stop loitering at the Ministry of Magic. You're seriously interfering with my work. If you keep this up, I'll have someone escort you out.

Ginny: I've told you, Harry doesn't want anyone rummaging through his belongings! Merlin's socks, don't even think about breaking into our house!

Draco: I really can't understand why you think I'd have anything to do with that Chosen One. Oh, and if you come back again, I think the editor of the Daily Prophet would like a word with you.

Albus Severus Potter: My father had no objection to me being sorted into Slytherin. He didn't object while he was alive, and he certainly won't object now that he's dead! If you don't stop following me around, Merlin knows what I'll do!

Edward Remus Lupin (Teddy): I can't tell you much about my godfather, and of course I can't tell you about my parents either. Oh, anything I regret? Next time, I definitely won't let you recognize me!

Minerva McGonagall: I've told you, miss, stop trying to get into the headmaster's office. There are proper ways to learn about Harry.

Rita thinks writing a book about the Chosen One is truly difficult work. But who is Rita Sharp? She won't give up so easily! However, as she learns more and more about the Chosen One, Rita realizes that she may have been mistaken...

*The female lead can be very annoying at times. Early on, she may misunderstand Harry or even smear him based on one-sided information, but trust me, she'll become a devoted fan of the Chosen One later.

*She'll probably visit many places to gather material, and use different methods to do so. (Actually, I haven't figured that part out yet.)

*There are original elements. Apologies for any out-of-character portrayals. The pairings follow canon. Feel free to point out any plot holes or implausible details.
