The Monster Honor Student

(Synopsis to be revised) Ye Mi was a catnip spirit who had only recently taken human form. The elders in his family repeatedly warned him to stay away from feline creatures, or they'd pin him down, sniff him senseless, and thoroughly rough him up. But on his very first day after transferring schools, he discovered that the teacher had assigned him a new deskmate who was a fierce, overbearing tiger demon. He looked impossible to deal with, the sort who could sniff him bald in one go. Ye Mi carefully concealed his aura and kept his catnip-spirit secret identity under wraps. * Bai Ruiyi, a young White Tiger from the divine beast lineage, never expected that after dominating the school and ruling the whole class, he'd fall for a weak human. His new deskmate was cute and delicate-looking. He was always sneaking glances at Bai Ruiyi, then hurriedly turning away whenever he was caught. Whenever he got close, his eyes sparkled, and he wore a perfume so enticing it was impossible to resist. What was it that human book said? This was... subtly trying to attract his attention! He was trying to use an innocent, unforced approach to pet the precious White Tiger cub! At first, Bai Ruiyi was full of thoughts about how humans and demons belonged to different worlds. But after watching Ye Mi sleeping in the afternoon sun, eating the lovingly packed lunch he'd snatched, and catching the faintest hint of that fragrance, he shamelessly caved. Bai Ruiyi: Fine. Since this human likes me so much, I'll graciously return his feelings. .jpg He cornered his little deskmate at the back door of the classroom and announced that from now on, this human was under his protection. Ye Mi nearly cried. He could only tremble and cover the little leaves on his head, silently grumbling to himself: As a demon, all I want is to study hard... Reader advisory: 1. An Eastern fantasy school story, with elements from the Classic of Mountains and Seas and plenty of creative invention. 2. A gentle, clingy little sweetheart of a bottom. 3. The cover features Ye Mi's character design. Thanks to the artist, @Wuli. Theme: Build a modern city where humans and demons live together in harmony, encourage young people to study hard, and let them succeed in both love and school.
