I Choose to Take On the Whole World Alone

Carol woke from the darkness to find that she had lost her memories. A strange old man was muttering that she had done something wrong.

Carol: What is this, some kind of feudal superstition? :)

Just when she thought she had landed in a campaign to sweep away old customs, things began to take a bizarre turn.

She suddenly woke up in a very strange hospital. A pretty blonde nurse told her, "You're awake! The operation was a succe... No, you're about to have an operation. Once it's done, you'll be just like everyone else."

Carol, who hadn't grown anything extra: So I'm still crazy after all. :)

Just when she thought her story was about escaping from an asylum, a statue suddenly spoke to her. "My poor believer..."

Carol, realizing she was either crazy or caught up in feudal superstition: Stop nesting stories inside stories!

This is probably the story of an unlucky heroine who discovers she's trapped in one nested scenario after another and struggles to survive in a strange world amid hardship and misery.

Current scenario: The Veil of Ignorance
