[Birdsong of the Empty Mountain | Mo Feng] The Realm of Reincarnation

Maybe it was the moment he smiled and said, "I'm the one who came to trade my life."

Maybe it was the moment he stood in front of him and took an arrow through the chest, then turned back and grabbed him.

Maybe it was the moment his warm blood splashed across his face.

Or maybe it was the moment beneath the setting sun, when he was covered in wounds but still looked up at the sky and smiled.

Whenever Bai Feng wakes from his dreams, the only things he can't shake are that person's voice and face.

He once dreamed of breaking out of his cage and flying into the vast sky. But when the day finally came, he became a bird with wings that didn't know where to fly.

He escaped a cage he could see, only to fall into one he could not.

And that cage's name

was Mo Ya.

Bai Feng: "I... want to go back."

So time turned, and the cycle began again.

Reader's note:

Severe OOC. Don't read if you dislike that.

Mo Bai pairing, no switching or reversing. There are a few tearjerking moments, but it's sweet.

Revised repost of an old story, so my dear readers can find it easily. I hope you'll add it to your favorites, mwah.

Theme: Long time no see.
