Marrying the Villainous Big Shot Made Me a Wealthy Stepmom

[The original rough draft is the last category in my column.]

Jiang Mian transmigrates into a book.

The original host, burdened with a debt of a million, was forced to marry into a wealthy family and became the stepmother of three children at a very young age.

The eldest daughter is lovesick. She gets pregnant by accident and eventually dies on the operating table.

The second son is a delinquent school bully. He fails the college entrance exam and eventually dies in an accident on his way to fight his archenemy.

The youngest son is the protagonist of the book. Later, the villain repeatedly sabotages him because of the heroine, but he eventually gets revenge on the villain and ends up with the heroine in a perfect happy ending.

Jiang Mian: So all I need to do is save the two older kids, support the youngest, and then lie flat once everyone gets a happy ending, right?

Mechanical voice: Bingo.

Jiang Mian: Has the villain shown up yet? I need to snuff out his crush on the heroine before it can take root!

Mechanical voice: He’s lying right beside you.

Jiang Mian: ???

Mechanical voice: Good luck. I believe you can live to a natural death.

Jiang Mian: “...”

Since she has to change the plot but can’t be bothered with all the details, Jiang Mian decides to go straight to the source and stop her husband, stepson, and the heroine from meeting.

As for the other two troublesome stepchildren, she may as well help raise them too.

Later

The eldest daughter no longer pins all her hopes on one man and becomes a notorious player with a reputation far and wide.

The second son starts studying hard, but Jiang Mian catches him kissing his archenemy in secret in the little woods at school.

The youngest son never meets the heroine, but on the day he comes of age, he sincerely asks Jiang Mian whether she might divorce his father and marry him instead.

And her villainous husband, whom she was supposed to see only a few times a year

Jiang Mian’s escape attempt fails, and she’s dragged back home in the middle of the night.

Several people outside can’t get in and worry that he’ll be punished, so they keep asking anxiously what’s going on.

Pinned against the door, the young man doesn’t dare make a sound. The man, still angry, bites his flushed ear and says in a low voice, “Try running away again, and I’ll let them come in and watch.”

★ The children aren’t his biological children.

★ A lighthearted, everyday child-rearing story, with no love-triangle drama. The youngest son will find someone of his own.

★ The top is an honor graduate of the Good Husbands Academy. He dotes on the bottom. Maximum sweetness.

Theme: In the end, you have to rely on yourself.
