The Villain Cleared Their Name by Grinding Away

In her previous life, the Heavenly Dao assigned Chu Sui the role of a villain.

She transcended the script and went above and beyond, nearly destroying the cultivation world and becoming the great villain feared by everyone in it.

Five hundred years after her death, the Heavenly Dao summoned her back.

The Heavenly Dao said she hadn't played the villain properly in her past life.

Chu Sui was baffled. "As a villain, I got up earlier than the chickens and went to bed later than the dogs. I worked all 365 days of the year, either doing bad things or on my way to do bad things. Even children who heard my name ran home to their mothers in terror. How was that not good enough?"

The Heavenly Dao spread its hands helplessly. "You were too competitive. You outdid even the righteous sects, and ended up becoming the very person they admired and aspired to be."

It pointed to a temple filled with incense and worshippers. "Look. People line up to pay their respects to you. Even children passing by come in to pray."

#The righteous sects have such a strange way of thinking#

#This makes it really hard for me to do my job as a villain#
