Overnight Tea

Wei Han finally broke up with Jian Yi. He was the one who ended it.

His friends threw him a particularly grand singles party at the biggest bar in town.

Everyone went wild at the bar, and Wei Han got more than a little drunk. His flirtatious eyes grew hazy with alcohol when someone suddenly mentioned that Jian Yi seemed to have a new boyfriend.

"I happened to see them after class that day, and her boyfriend was pretty handsome. He picked her up outside the school in a Porsche Cayenne."

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone looked at Wei Han and fell silent.

No one had expected it. Jian Yi had loved Wei Han so much and always done whatever he said, yet she had a new boyfriend not long after they broke up.

The whole place went quiet. Wei Han, on the other hand, laughed heartily. "Well, thank goodness for that. We'll have to find somewhere else to celebrate later."

Zhou Pang cursed him for having no conscience.

At three in the morning, the streetlights cast a dim yellow glow, and Wei Han was a little less drunk.

After saying goodbye to his friends, Wei Han got into his car. The smile at the corner of his mouth instantly went cold, and his expression became so unfamiliar he seemed like a different person.

Just before the car left the bustling district, something caught his eye, and he told the driver to pull over.

Wei Han stepped out and quietly lit a cigarette beneath a streetlight.

In the silent night, the pungent smell of smoke filled his nose. Wei Han dialed the number he knew by heart.

It took quite a while for the call to connect.

"Hello, who is this?" Jian Yi sounded as if she'd just woken up, her words a little slurred.

Wei Han stubbed out his cigarette and gave a cold laugh. "What, now that you're with my uncle, you don't even recognize my number?"
