The Tragic Heroine's Starry Sea

When Dong Zezhi opens her eyes at the site of a shipwreck, she discovers she's been "married off" to a dragon suffering from severe poisoning and complete paralysis from the neck down.

Dong Zezhi: Well, that's a bit baldly unexpected.

The underwater Dragon Palace is full of the old, the weak, the sick, the disabled, and the pregnant. Forced to put aside her lazy nature, Dong Zezhi works herself to the bone to provide for the whole family!

The Dragon Lord is poisoned and paralyzed? Surgery and traditional Chinese medicine!

The Turtle Chancellor has toenail fungus? Get more sunshine and calcium, and start drinking zinc gluconate!

The shrimp soldiers and crab generals have soft-shell disease? Damn, seal off Heaven's sewage outlet and throw all that filth right back at them!

And so the whole Dragon Palace takes on a new look:

"Let's show our support for the best Dragon Queen!"

"Your Majesty, do you need an accessory for your tail?"

"Your Majesty, I want to give birth to your fish eggs!"

A cold dragon's tail coils around Dong Zezhi's waist. The Dragon Lord's icy voice rings through the hall. "Who said that last part?"

Dong Zezhi smooths the dragon's scales, then turns to give an order. "Bury that person properly. Next time they say something stupid, tell them to bring their own head."

Theme: The end of the age of magic.
