The Daily Romance Script of My Unexpected Childhood Friend

[Story blurb archived on 20/09/12]

I'm an ordinary male university student. My family is rich, but I'm not happy.

Because I know I live in a fictional world made up of countless romance stories.

My roommate A is the protagonist of a dating sim, B is the overpowered male lead of a male-oriented novel, and C is the male lead of a danmei infinite-loop novel on Jinjiang.

And I'm the not-quite-standard background character template.

I suppose you could call me a named supporting character.

But whenever I say that, roommates A, B, and C all laugh at me. "How are you ordinary?"

I don't care. I'm just a background character.

I don't want to be the male lead of any story. I don't want to fall in love.

What's so great about romance?

Is being single not enough to make me happy?

But in a world where everyone is coupled up, making that wish come true is incredibly difficult.

This world won't let me be a quiet, handsome guy.

With fate playing tricks on me, bizarre romantic incidents keep happening around me.

Finally, after I defused my Nth romantic flag, an incredibly dazzling, handsome guy appeared by my side, declared that he'd fallen in love with me at first sight years ago, and confessed his feelings with deep sincerity.

After I turned him down, he didn't give up. Instead, he started acting out the title of this book all by himself...

And so begins a battle of wits, a tug-of-war between romantic tropes and their subversion, as I try to avoid falling in love!
