Can the Goddess of Light Still Keep Going?

Fu Nini transmigrated into a Western fantasy romance novel as the Goddess of Light, Phunis.

The Goddess of Light, Phunis, was the most dazzling of all the gods. She was their leader, the most exalted deity. She had once commanded the most worshippers, ruled over the most expansive lands, and received the most precious offerings.

Her temple was the most magnificent, and the holy sons and daughters at her side were the most beautiful and clever. People across the land sang praises to Phunis: Wherever Phunis is, there is light. Wherever there are people, there are followers of Phunis. Wherever there is air, it is Phunis's domain. We are all followers of Phunis, and we stand ready to give everything for her.

But that was all in the past.

Fu Nini Phunis, who had transmigrated into this world, sat in the dilapidated temple and looked at the shattered bricks and tiles before her. She let out a sigh.

As the Goddess of Light, Phunis was actually a villain and a mere plot device in the novel. Her first appearance was when she tried to stop the male lead from taking away the heroine, a holy daughter of the temple.

In revenge, the male lead gathered his people and razed every Temple of Light on the continent. He destroyed Phunis's holy scriptures, disbanded the temples' holy sons and daughters, wounded Phunis when she appeared for the second time, and crushed everyone's faith in her.

Now the novel had long since ended, and everything had settled into place.

Phunis was now nothing but a pitiful little goddess. Her name had vanished from the vast lands.

Fu Nini sighed, then suddenly saw the heroine, who had once served her in the temple and was now married, return dressed in her old holy robes.

Kneeling among the ruins, the heroine prayed: Goddess of Light Phunis, I regret what I have done. Please forgive me. Please let the holy light protect me once more.

The heroine said, Great Goddess of Light, let me return to your side.

She also said, He treats me badly. Great Phunis, grant me the power to avenge myself and punish that oathbreaker.

It was obvious: the heroine regretted her choices.

Fu Nini: ...

Fu Nini: Hah.

Theme: You can only help yourself!
