[Haikyuu!!] Forty-Three Sunsets

A collection of short volleyball stories, mostly featuring less popular characters. I’ll write them if inspiration strikes.

Ideas so far:

[Kinokawa Kanji]

A friend once asked me, “Which position on the team do you like best?”

I was focused on the match and answered without thinking, “Setter.”

She wouldn’t let it go. “Why?”

I’m an honest person. “Because of their faces.”

They say setters have always been the pretty ones. After watching volleyball for three years in middle school, I came to that conclusion with absolute confidence.

That is, until I met Kinokawa Kanji.

[Hoshiumi Kourai]

Years later, I’d made a modest name for myself in the industry.

In an interview, they asked, “Is there anyone you’d especially like to thank?”

Me: “My husband.”

They also asked, “What do you think was the biggest factor in your success?”

I thought it over and, upholding the IT industry’s fine tradition of being honest and down-to-earth in the eyes of the public, replied, “It was because of my husband.”

The reporter’s mouth was twitching like crazy.

A lot of people don’t believe me, but what I’m saying is the honest truth, backed by hard cash.

After all, if I hadn’t wanted to support Hoshiumi Kourai, I’d probably still be an ordinary CTO at a publicly listed small company, just hoping to retire in peace and slack off.

The second I fell for Hoshiumi Kourai, who the hell knew professional volleyball players were so expensive?

#Boss Kenma: Take the word “small” out of “small company.”#

#Mr. Oikawa to the Seagulls: Once I’m a millionaire, I’ll sponsor you for the rest of your career.#

To be continued...

Theme: Really, they’ll probably spend their whole lives with the ball. Oh, and rice balls too.
