I Serve as a Remonstrance Official in the Great Zhao

He Chaoyang was a keyboard warrior, living by her keyboard and flaming countless people. Maybe she got her just desserts for being an online troll for so long: one day, she got so worked up arguing with someone that she forgot to breathe and collapsed onto her keyboard. When she came to, the world before her eyes had changed. She had become a low-ranking ninth-grade remonstrance official in the Great Zhao Dynasty, targeted for revenge because she had rejected a princess's marriage proposal. Now she faced danger on all sides: powerful people above her throwing their weight around, an elderly mother to support, and the burden of disguising herself as a man to restore her family's honor. To stay alive, He Chaoyang returned to her old line of work. Drawing on her keyboard-warrior skills from her previous life, she went after anyone she could in court, eagerly showing off her abilities and making sure not to miss a single mistake. Her efforts finally caught the attention of the reigning emperor, Emperor Mingxuan. She earned His Majesty's favor and escaped the princess's shadow. After that, she rose to fame through one court case after another, climbing the ranks and making her name known far and wide. She became the foremost censor, inspiring terror in the great clans, making court officials avoid her like the plague, and earning the people's heartfelt admiration. With her career at its peak, He Chaoyang thought she could finally enjoy her honors and power, lie flat, and coast through life. But then the emperor, who had always admired her, suddenly asked her a question. "My dear subject, which status do you think is better: minister or wife?" "Minister!" He Chaoyang answered sincerely. "I am willing to clear every obstacle for Your Majesty and keep fighting on the front lines of the sea of words!" Across from her, Emperor Mingxuan's delighted smile froze on his face. P.S. The male lead is the emperor, and they do get together later. The female lead does not become empress, and she remains a censor at the end. The setting and details are entirely fictional, with the story focused on her career. Happy ending. Theme: Through hard work and effort, she achieves the career she wants.
