Go travel the world and attain enlightenment." Gu Lian: ? As she stood there in bewilderment, the sky suddenly changed. In the east, demonic energy filled the air. The demon king, dressed in green, arrived atop rolling clouds of demonic energy, his expression devout. He smiled and said, "Master Gu, the sea of suffering has no shore. I hope you'll turn back." In the west, demonic might blotted out the sky. The demon king, his expression cold, gently rolled a string of Buddhist prayer beads between his fingers. "Amitabha. Lian'er, your karmic ties are too deep. You cannot enter the Buddhist sect." In the north, a sword's chill flashed through the air as a sword immortal arrived on his sword, hands clasped together. "I find Lianlian so charming. I expect she finds me just as charming. If not, I'll slay Buddhas when I see them and gods when I meet them." But there was no sign of the outsiders in the south. Only after a long while did a loud laugh ring out: "If you join the Buddhist sect, I'll slaughter the human race." Gu Lian was utterly bewildered.
