After being bullied, two-year-old Kikuchi Hoshino resolved to become the first person to conquer the world and make everyone fear him.
Using his brains, he got his hands on a very powerful book: The Handbook for Conquering the World. He opened it and read:
Rule One of the Handbook for Conquering the World: An older brother is like a lackey, and lackeys are the first step to conquering the world.
In that case...
"Nii-san, pick me up."
Proud of all the lackeys he'd gathered, Kikuchi Hoshino eagerly turned to the next page.
Rule Two of the Handbook for Conquering the World: Don't be a picky eater.
He clenched his chubby little fists, squeezed his eyes shut, and ate the tofu monster he hated.
"Well?! I'm not scared of you, big monster!"
And so Kikuchi Hoshino set off on a path of finding "older brothers" and defeating big monsters. Much later, he sat on a Yokohama pier, gazing at the sea before him and the crowd of lackeys behind him, and sighed deeply.
"Sigh, when will I finally conquer the world?"
One of his lackeys, Osamu Dazai: It's time to make him eat more tofu.
Another, Chuya Nakahara, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and told him to get to school on time.
A third, Kusuo Saiki: ...?
The fourth and fifth: Tiny heads, enormous confusion.
In Kikuchi Hoshino's eyes, Lackey One was a sickly boy who needed looking after; Lackey Two had too much of a conscience, and conquering the world was a pretty heartless thing to do; Lackeys Three, Four, and Five were all ordinary people who needed their big brother to protect them.
P.S.
The characters may be out of character, so proceed with caution.
Since the protagonist is a little bundle of joy, his ideas will be childish.
