The Inherited Omega

After leaving home, Lu Yu waited tables and washed dishes, then carried bricks at construction sites. Later, she used the first pot of gold she earned as a bounty hunter to develop Floating Island No. 3, and rose to become Boss Lu. Once she had made a name for herself, she wore stilettos sharp as blades and a black deep-V suit. Holding a small glass of baijiu at the birthday banquet of the person she hated most, she raised her glass and said, "I'm not very educated, so I'll just wish you a long life with your little lover. May every year from now on be worse than the last, and may every day bring you no joy. May your meals give you high blood pressure, and may your heart need bypass surgery." Perhaps her curse worked. Six months later, she received an inheritance list. Besides shares and real estate, there was also a delicate and lovely omega. Lu Yu looked him over like an object, pinching his chin as she examined him. He was pretty, all right. "I'll take the money. Take him away. He's tainted." But she couldn't quite bring herself to be cruel. He looked far too pitiful, so she took him home as if he were a cat or a dog. As it turned out, the omega was excellent at looking after people, practically a model housekeeper. Her attitude gradually changed, like ice melting. At first she had dismissed and ignored him; before long, she cherished him and doted on him. She would hold him in her arms, kiss his forehead, and recite love poems from the old days. She thought he was spring cherry blossoms, or autumn waters. In truth, he was a greedy, bewitching ghost. In the dark, with red lips and a pale face, he opened and closed his mouth, speaking of desire: "I'll give you everything in the world, as long as you belong to me."
