Bai Suyu played a game called Conquer the Noble Academy.
While everyone else spent money to win over the F4, he spent money raising three lunatics.
The first lunatic thought he was a swallow. He spent all day plucking feathers to build a nest. Once he had plucked himself bald, he started plucking Bai Suyu instead.
-- Bai Suyu sent him to a down jacket factory to stuff jackets with feathers and "put his talents to use." He soon earned a fortune every day.
The second lunatic was a husky. When he wasn't tearing the house apart, he was chasing the first lunatic and chewing on him, or chasing Bai Suyu to "kill" him.
-- Bai Suyu harnessed him to a cart, and he raced day and night until he built a logistics empire.
The third lunatic was quiet and refined. He firmly believed he was a violin. Every day, he squatted in a corner, making sounds like someone scrubbing glass, and refused to eat or drink while waiting for Bai Suyu to come and "play" him.
-- Bai Suyu sent him to be the school bell that woke children from their lunch breaks. The kids glared at him, but the parents all gave him glowing reviews.
There was also a fourth lunatic who appeared and vanished without a trace. Whenever he logged on, he spun all sorts of wild tales, claiming to be some down-and-out duke or other, and asking people to send him fifty yuan, calling it a "strategic investment."
When Bai Suyu was in a good mood, he tossed him a couple of coins. When he was in a bad mood, he locked him up.
-- Later, the lunatic stopped logging on altogether. Bai Suyu didn't give it a second thought, assuming the server was acting up again.
And so, thanks to his three lunatics, Bai Suyu achieved financial freedom ahead of schedule.
After graduation, he uninstalled the game and quietly disappeared, leaving no trace of his accomplishments.
Later, he heard the game had gone off the rails.
The F4's insanity index had reached 120%!
They were searching the entire world for some godfather, some caretaker.
Then he found himself transported into the game, as a cannon-fodder villain who was guaranteed to die in the first episode.
The System told him: [Your mission is to survive three days while the F4 hunt you down.]
Bai Suyu looked at the three men before him: the F4, now powerful enough to rule the world, sinister and deranged, and offering a worldwide bounty for the "godfather."
He fell silent.
The legendary Grand Duke, cold-blooded and cruel, the wielder of life and death, clenched his teeth as he stared at an old photo of his once-plucked-bald hairline.
The unpredictable Dragon-Ao, renowned for his iron-fisted methods, was destroying dog leashes everywhere and couldn't sleep at night.
The calculating oligarch, a master of manipulating people, wandered around campus all day, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
Bai Suyu: "..."
Bai Suyu took a deep breath and slowly typed a line into the [Identity Registration] field on the System panel:
[Name: Bai Suyu]
[Identity: The (former) caretaker and spiritual godfather of this academy's F4, now a cannon-fodder character guaranteed to die in the first episode.]
"All right."
