Your Fiancée Ran Off with Someone Again

My new novel, After I Volunteered to Become a Widow, is now underway! After transmigrating into the body of a fake young master of a duke's household who had been poisoned to death, Mu Ting hurriedly packed his things and fled in women's clothes to save his own life. Then his luck got even worse. On the way, someone knocked him out and stuffed him into a bridal sedan chair to take the place of a runaway bride. He was being married to a poor fellow whose three previous fiancées had all run off. On their wedding night, Mu Ting looked at the groom with deep sympathy and, in the interest of honesty, told him the truth. Mu Ting: "Your fiancée ran off with someone else." Mu Ting: "I'm a man, too." Mu Ting: "If you don't believe me, you can feel for yourself." The groom felt Mu Ting's flat chest and stared blankly. The Qi family had produced three successful candidates in the imperial examinations in one generation, including the top scorer in both the palace and provincial exams. And yet they had Qi Zhan, a good-for-nothing playboy who was neither scholarly nor martial, and spent all day eating, drinking, and having fun. He couldn't even manage to find himself a wife. At last, someone made it into his home. Never mind that they'd been knocked out and sent in a bridal sedan chair. They were a man dressed as a woman! At first, he thought, I'll make do. It's better than nothing. Later, he thought, This is great! And his wife's cooking was great, too! A food story, mainly about eating, eating, and more eating. PS: The author is terrible at logic, terrible at writing, and terrible at everything. I'll do my best to write something anyway. Blurb for After I Volunteered to Become a Widow Su Jingqing was drugged and framed by his fiancé. He met a handsome, broad-shouldered man, and the two hit it off in bed at once. Just as Su Jingqing was figuring out how to break off his engagement and marry the man he'd met that night, an imperial decree arrived, bestowing Su Jingqing as the Princess Consort of Prince Huai. Prince Huai was the current emperor's eldest legitimate son. A celebrated war hero, he excelled at both scholarship and martial arts, and was the emperor's ideal candidate for crown prince. But not long ago, Prince Huai was assassinated on his way back from a campaign and died in the prime of his life. The emperor was sending Su Jingqing to become a widow for Prince Huai! Everyone thought Su Jingqing would defy the decree. Instead, his eyes lit up, and he declared without hesitation, "I'll marry him! I want to become a widow!" On the wedding day, Su Jingqing paid his respects alongside a big rooster, while the guests looked on with sympathy and pity. Then, on their wedding night, the supposedly fallen Prince Huai quietly climbed into bed. A little scene: One day, Xiao Beihuai brought Su Jingqing before his former fiancé and ordered him, "Call him sister-in-law." The former fiancé was so furious he nearly ground his teeth to pieces, but he could only obediently say, "Sister-in-law." Theme: No fighting or hurting others. Keep striving and moving forward!
