*My upcoming novel, Kiss the Moon, is looking for your support! Please add it to your favorites~
Mu Li transmigrates into a book, becoming the doomed original wife of the villainous big shot, the character readers complain about the most.
She was planted by the villain's side as a spy. In the end, thanks to all kinds of idiotic coincidences cooked up by the author, she successfully burned the villain to death.
As one of the many readers who complained about the story, Mu Li also gets bound to a Villain Rescue System when she transmigrates. If she can help the villain make a successful comeback, she'll earn a hundred million.
So Mu Li says
"Hubby, once your legs are better, I'll divorce you right away."
"Hubby, tell me what you like to eat and I'll make it for you."
"Hubby, I'll go with you to your rehab exercises."
"..."
The catch is, the villain is reborn.
Mu Li: Lying down peacefully...
The next night, Mu Li packs up her luggage and prepares to make a getaway. But just as she reaches the living room, a sudden flash of light catches her eye.
The big shot is sitting in his wheelchair, his beautiful dark eyes fixed on her panicked face. He raises the corner of his mouth. "It's so late. Where are you going?"
After a brief moment of stunned silence, Mu Li drops her bags and runs!
But the villain actually gets up from his wheelchair, wraps an arm around her, and pulls her tight against him.
The next day, after finding out she'd been fooled, Mu Li musters her courage and slaps their prenuptial agreement onto the table. "We agreed I could divorce you once your legs were better, right?"
The big shot calmly points to the additional clause. "Divorce is only possible if I haven't fallen for you. Or do you want me to prove it to you again?"
Mu Li quickly pins down the large hand at her waist.
Damn it!
Weren't you supposed to be cold-blooded and merciless, with revenge as your only goal? Why are you nothing like that at all!
P.S. My writing is limited, so this might get melodramatic and old-fashioned. Please go easy on me if that's not your thing.

My upcoming novel, Kiss the Moon:
The day of the funeral.
The sky was a grayish blue, and a light rain fell without pause.
Jiang Yueqing wore a long black velvet dress. With her delicate, fragile-looking body, as slender as if she might snap in two, she fiercely shielded her seven-year-old little brother from the relatives who had come to demand payment. She faced them all alone.
Her lovely face, as beautiful as the moon, was full of exhaustion.
Just as it seemed the funeral was about to be ruined, a man suddenly walked in from outside, silencing the entire room.
Black clothes, a crew cut.
Hard, sharp features.
So tall and imposing he looked like a giant wolf.
Jiang Yueqing thought he had come to demand money too. She was so frightened that a tear caught on her lower lashes.
She stared blankly as he stopped in front of her, lifted an arm, and caught the trembling tear with his slightly bent knuckles.
"Don't cry."
-
It turned out the man who had entered the funeral was none other than Mr. Huo, the famous tycoon of Jincheng. People said he'd used all sorts of underhanded methods to get where he was.
He offered to protect her and her brother, but on one condition: he needed a wife with a clean background.
The two soon got their marriage certificates.
At first, Jiang Yueqing was afraid of him, but as time passed, she found that Huo Wendiao was unexpectedly considerate and respectful of boundaries as a husband.
Little by little, she let her guard down.
One time, the man came home injured. She picked up some gauze to treat his wound, but he caught her hand instead.
The contrast between their complexions was striking. His arm was twice as thick as hers, its taut muscles seeming to hold something back.
"Are you sure you can take responsibility for what you're doing?"
At first, Jiang Yueqing didn't understand. But when she glanced at a certain place, her face instantly flushed.
It turned out the man desired her too.
-
Everyone thought Huo Wendiao had taken Jiang Yueqing in on a whim, like picking up a rain-soaked little sparrow to keep as a pet.
That is, until a video surfaced. Jiang Yueqing, dressed in a cherry-pink qipao, was pulled tight against a tall man in a black trench coat as he kissed her without restraint.
Not long after,
Huo Wendiao himself posted their wedding photo: "My little moon, @Jiang Yueqing"
No one knew that Huo Wendiao had been waiting all along.
Waiting until he had absolute power, so he could take his moon into his arms and never let her go, even if it killed him.
