The Swallow's Song

[Top's POV]

Yu Rong thought he was as good as dead, but who could have guessed that a bewitching beauty would appear out of nowhere and save him? His rescuer was no ordinary person, either: Qiu Ziqi of Jianglexuan, a household name in the capital.

Too bad beauty came with a poison barb. Yu Rong fell head over heels, losing both himself and his heart.

If he could do it all over again, he would make sure to remind himself:

First, don't believe a single word Qiu Ziqi says.

Second, never feel sorry for Qiu Ziqi.

Third, before Qiu Ziqi can wreak havoc on anyone else, bundle him up and carry him away.

The serious blurb

Lu Changchao was born into a distinguished family. Clever from a young age and perceptive by nature, he returned to the capital at thirteen with General Lu, dazzling the whole city.

One glance at him from atop a wall was all it took for Yu Rong to lose his heart and his senses.

Later, disaster struck the Lu family. On the day Lu Changchao died, Yu Rong crawled up the long steps before the Golden Hall, covered in blood, begging only to gather his remains for burial.

Later still, Qiu Ziqi's stunning beauty became famous across three kingdoms. His crimson robes and bewitching allure drove the world mad.

Yu Rong knew Qiu Ziqi had come with an ulterior motive, yet he let him use him again and again, loving him without reservation.

But Yu Rong never imagined that Qiu Ziqi was hiding a tremendous secret from him.

A secret Qiu Ziqi never told him, even on his deathbed...

Scheming, bewitching beauty bottom x wolfish, goofy, roguish top

Qiu Ziqi was Yu Rong's moonlight from his youth, and would become the cinnabar mark on his heart.

Please note!!!

1. The ending is open-ended. Lots of angst, heartbreak, and melodrama!

2. Both are virgins. Dual POV, primarily the bottom's.

3. The bottom has many secret identities.

4. The author adores bewitching beauty bottoms.

5. Written when the author was eighteen, so it's rather immature. Please brace yourself before reading.
