The Most Hated Male Zerg Broke Character

[Completed: The Chances of Finding Love After Becoming a Nonhuman [Insectoid]] [Coming Soon: Am I Still Your Beloved Little Bear?] Novel Description: Gu Yuan has recently become obsessed with a novel called The Domineering Male Insect's Passionate Love, and he's especially fond of its supporting character, the female insect Chi Ming. When the novel ends, the author waves a hand and kills Chi Ming off, but leaves his universally hated male spouse alive and well. Gu Yuan is furious. He immediately grabs his keyboard and blasts the author with three thousand words. That very night, Gu Yuan transmigrates, much to his delight, and becomes Chi Ming's insect-repelling, dog-detested male spouse. Gu Yuan: This is my chance! I'm going to give all my love to my Chi Ming! System: No, you can't. System: Your character is a universally hated scumbag cannon fodder. Your mission is to make sure the plot unfolds perfectly. If you don't follow the plot, Chi Ming will be punished even more severely. Damn System! Come at me if you've got the guts! Picking on Chi Ming doesn't prove anything! Gu Yuan: "Fine, I'll follow the plot. I'll do it, okay?" - Gu Yuan agrees to follow the plot, and the original leads' story proceeds smoothly. But something seems to have gone off course between Gu Yuan and Chi Ming. Gu Yuan brings Chi Ming back from the female slave market. Facing the insect who's prickly as a hedgehog, he keeps a stern face and throws him onto the carpeted floor, growling, "Get over here and let me put medicine on your wounds, or I'll send you back to the female slave market tomorrow!" Chi Ming, still recovering, forces himself to fight another insect. With a dark expression, Gu Yuan pulls Chi Ming behind him and scolds him. "You're covered in wounds, and you're still going to duel? If you lose, it'll make me look bad!" Chi Ming is framed by another insect and faces the threat of having his wings torn off. In front of the gathered insects, Gu Yuan loudly protests, "Disobeying me will get you a punishment even worse than having your wings torn off. He wouldn't dare do something like that, even if he had ten lives!" - Chi Ming has long heard of Gu Yuan's terrible reputation. When Gu Yuan bought him from the female slave market, he was prepared to die. But later, he realizes that Gu Yuan is all bark and no bite. Whenever Gu Yuan sternly lectures him, Chi Ming can see the reluctance and concern in his eyes. And whenever Gu Yuan scolds him, it's for his own good. He wants Chi Ming to heal properly and stop pushing himself too hard. Chi Ming thinks his male spouse must be what people online call tsundere. The harsher the words, the deeper the love in his heart. - After the original novel's leads reach their happy ending, the System is horrified to discover that Gu Yuan and Chi Ming, who were supposed to get a bad ending in the original, have somehow managed to get a happy ending instead. System: What are you doing? System: Weren't you supposed to be a scumbag insect? Reader's Guide: 1. Golden hair and blue eyes x white hair, dark skin, and blue eyes. Insectoid, male lead is the top, with few males and many females. 2. The original leads' ascension-to-the-throne plot is only briefly mentioned, and the main characters here mostly don't take part. Gu Yuan's reputation on the interstellar network won't improve; only a few insects know he's not the monster the online reviews make him out to be. 3. A short story, amateurish writing, and logic thrown to the dogs. Theme: Grow against the wind in adversity, unyielding and tenacious, like a flower growing through a crack in the rocks
