Who Isn't a Substitute?

Synopsis: Almost everyone in high society knows that the head of the Luo family is in love with the eldest daughter of the Bai family. Unfortunately, his love is unrequited. She sees him only as a younger brother, and later moved abroad with her whole family. Unable to have her, the head of the Luo family raised a stand-in who looked seven-tenths like Miss Bai: Yan Wan. Rumor has it the stand-in is an orphan who does whatever the head of the Luo family asks. She not only imitates Miss Bai's every word and action, but even dresses like her. But who knew Yan Wan didn't actually like the head of the Luo family? Yan Wan always remembered that spring day, when the rain was chilly and a handsome young man smiled as he handed her an umbrella. From that moment on, both the umbrella and its owner took up residence in her heart. As teenagers, the boy and girl promised to stay together forever. But fate had other plans, and the boy died that winter. From then on, her world was cold. But when she saw the head of the Luo family online, with a face resembling the boy's, she smiled. A Yu, I think I've become obsessed. I don't want to let go of anyone who looks like you. A year later, the head of the Luo family had a stand-in for his unrequited love, while Yan Wan gazed at that uncannily familiar face night after night, growing ever more delighted. Yan Wan: I have nothing. I'm all alone in this world, and I just want to hold on to the person in front of me who looks like you, even though I know it's all fake. I've been crazy for a long time. Theme: Everything has a root cause.
