My other novel, Flash Marriage Couple in the 1980s, is now updating!
In the spring of 1988, Xu Xiuzhu and Chen Yuanzhou got married.
Some people in the village didn't approve of the match.
The eldest Xu daughter was a typical country girl. She wasn't especially beautiful, and her family had raised her to be so quiet she was practically a closed book. But she was honest and hardworking, and if she'd married someone from a similar rural background, she could have had a peaceful, happy life.
But her match was the third son of the Chen family. The Chens were one of the wealthiest families in the village. Chen Yuanzhou was tall and handsome, and had once been an officer in the army, where he'd earned many honors. After his transfer out of the military, he'd already secured a job in a big city.
One worked the fields for a living, while the other had a government job. At first glance, they were a poor match.
Others said they were perfect for each other.
Chen Yuanzhou had left the army because of an injury, and it was a lower-body injury. He probably wouldn't be able to have children for the rest of his life.
Xu Xiuzhu had tried several times to get a job in the city so she could escape her family, but hadn't been selected. If she married Chen Yuanzhou, she could settle in the city, and the two of them could each get what they wanted.
As for how much genuine affection and how much calculation went into the marriage, that was no concern of anyone else's.
On their wedding night, afraid Chen Yuanzhou would feel awkward, Xu Xiuzhu gathered her courage and reassured him. "I know you were injured. We don't have to sleep together. There are lots of doctors in the city, and if you get treatment over time, you'll surely recover. I don't mind, so you shouldn't either."
Chen Yuanzhou's brow furrowed. When he understood what she meant, he chuckled and teased her. "You're very considerate."
Seeing he wasn't angry, Xu Xiuzhu grew bolder and talked to him. She said that married couples had to be considerate of each other.
Chen Yuanzhou looked at his little bride, whose eyes turned into crescent moons when she smiled. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Later, on countless nights when Xu Xiuzhu whimpered and begged for mercy, Chen Yuanzhou always had the same thing to say.
He said married couples had to be considerate of each other.
Chen Yuanzhou thought himself very lucky.
He'd bled for his country and taken bullets for his comrades. Then, through the miracle of a new life, he'd met Xu Xiuzhu.
[The heroine is gentle on the outside but strong inside. The hero is an expert at putting on an act.]
[The hero transmigrates. Alternate-history setting, slow burn, domestic life, and a touch of an ensemble cast.]

Theme: Sincerity for sincerity
It's true that you give so much money to the heroine's adoptive mother. . . In particular, the heroine also dreamed about things in her previous life... Wouldn't it make the adoptive mother suck the blood of the heroine even more if she gets the benefits?
Ah??? I was shouting for the heroine earlier, but I didn't notice it, hahahahaha, so cute
It's really good 💔 If I were the heroine, I wouldn't let them get a penny.
Can't I come back and confirm before I drop out? My grades are so good that the Education Bureau is paying attention. Shouldn't I know that I can continue to go to school if I apply or beg for mercy after being deceived?
Why did you give her mother so much money?
Wasn't the heroine deceived and didn't get her high school diploma? What a pity...
In the 1980s, flash marriage wasn't such a fashionable word 🐶
Don't be discouraged, author, the article is very interesting, keep up the good work!
It seems that Comrade Xiaolin has come to his senses 😳😳
Lai Si can't be the lost brother, right?
