A Little Restaurant in the Woods

Blurb: Yu Miao had been intellectually disabled since birth and was often bullied in the village. After the fathers who loved him passed away one after another, relatives seeking to seize his inheritance drove him to the brink. After the little fool died, no one even came to bury him. Only a small, scrawny beggar dug his grave and covered him with earth, then poisoned his enemies with rat poison, before freezing to death in front of his grave. Perhaps his previous life had been so miserable that Heaven took pity on him. Not only was Yu Miao given another chance at life, but his disability was cured as well. He also gained a set of memories that did not belong to this world: in those memories, he and his little father lived in the twenty-first century. The two of them ran a small restaurant and lived peaceful lives, until a car accident destroyed everything. Awakening with the memories of two lives, Yu Miao wants only to do everything he can to hold on tightly to what he has now: to protect his little father and the little beggar who avenged him in his previous life. The little fool is no longer a fool. With one hand, he takes on the troublesome relatives; with the other, he earns money. As for making a living, naturally, he'll go into the food business he remembers. At some point, a little restaurant quietly opened beside a mountain path. Pumpkin and wild mushroom pots, snow pear stewed with Chinese yam, spicy salt-and-pepper pig trotters... All sorts of unusual dishes were so delicious that they made people's mouths water. Years passed. The little restaurant was still the same little restaurant, except now there was a chubby white dumpling, curled up in his father's arms, gnawing on a pig trotter with grease all over his mouth. "Little Father, hold me~" The white dumpling reached out when he saw him. Yu Miao gently pinched the little one's soft, smooth cheek, then turned and gave the tall, handsome man beside him a kiss. Smiling, he said, "Let your dad hold you. Little Father will go make you something tasty." [Reading Guide] 1. The seme is a native of this world, and the uke is reborn.
