All the Creative Ways Mr. Mori Has Been Bullied Over the Years

That season when the cherry blossoms fell, the scenery was serene and beautiful. Mori Ougai met Minggong Ying in the prime of his life. Her gentleness, intelligence, and tolerance seeped into his still heart like honey. Gradually, she stirred the still waters of his heart. In the end, the cherry blossom season, vivid and tragic as a rosy sunset, came to a close in the misty rain. After breaking up with his first love and going through things like studying abroad and enlisting in the military, Mori Ougai opened a small clinic in Yokohama and became a crooked doctor and an information broker. He thought he'd never see the first love he longed for again. Then Doctor Mori pulled a bandage-wrapped boy out of the river, a boy who looked eight or nine-tenths like his first love. Mori Ougai: ...Well, that came out of nowhere. Doctor Mori stared at the listless little brat, fretting over the DNA test results in his hand. "Dazai-kun, at least call me Dad." Mori Ougai pitifully held out a cup of instant noodles to the hungry little bundle of bandages. Looking at the steaming cup of noodles, Dazai Osamu stayed silent and refused to engage. "A-at the very least, you could call me Father." With no answer, Mori Ougai's voice grew quieter and quieter, full of grievance and humility.
