Saved by Players in an Infinite Game

Xue Jingyu lives in a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil world. His neighbors are kind and friendly, his coworkers are dedicated to their jobs, and his students are hardworking and eager to improve. He's very satisfied with his life. It's just that some strange people keep showing up, looking horrified and seemingly at a loss for words when they see his students, coworkers, and neighbors. ...They even try to lure him away from here, to what they call "the real world." He often finds this troubling, but fortunately, after he starts dating a handsome and considerate boyfriend, all these problems are resolved. Until one day, a man who looks exactly like the boyfriend he's madly in love with appears in his home. The man says that he's Xue Jingyu's real lover. Xue Jingyu looks at him, then at his current boyfriend, who's just walked through the front door, and is left utterly confused. His current boyfriend speaks gently: "Ayu, come here." What Xue Jingyu doesn't see is that, the moment his boyfriend steps inside, countless tentacles writhe in the shadows, waiting to drag him into an endless darkness the instant he takes a single step. * * It's the fifth year since the massive game Mirage descended upon the real world, and the third year that the number-one player on the rankings has been searching for his lover, Xue Jingyu, trapped inside the game. The players drawn in by the enormous bounty finally find Xue Jingyu in a dungeon. After that, they discover him appearing in dungeon after dungeon, safe and sound, living a peaceful life, completely unaware that he's inside a game. The players try everything they can to get him out, but each attempt fails. They even see the mysterious deity who rules the game and inspires fear in everyone, disguised as a gentle, attentive lover, considerately putting gloves on Xue Jingyu. When the god's cold, emotionless eyes turn toward them, they realize he's wearing the face of Xue Jingyu's real lover. The god used the most despicable means to steal his rose. * "What kind of person is he?" "...He's twilight." The last light in the sky before night falls. *A story about a deceitful evil god. Don't try this at home. *Not a traditional infinite-flow story. *Blurb subject to change. Theme: Learn to distinguish reality from illusion.
