The Dark God Is Strict with Himself About Going Green [Western Fantasy]

Elise transmigrated. She was the daughter of a grand duke, with a noble title and the right to inherit vast lands in the north. A week ago, she'd become engaged to the newly crowned emperor of the empire. Now... The man she was planning to elope with was waiting for her in the garden below her window. And her lawful fiancé had surrounded the ducal estate with a group of archers. The moment she walked out the gate with her lover, she'd be turned into a pincushion. But if she refused to elope, her lover would return to the temple, consumed by hatred. He would become a saint revered by all, then take his revenge on Elise for betraying him. The wrath of the gods' representative would spark a war. Amid the smoke and ruin, she'd be sent to the guillotine to atone for her crimes. Elise: "..." Furiously, she slammed the window shut and summoned the God of Darkness. "Your Majesty, I offer you my entire body and soul. Please grant me supreme power and make me the ruler of this fertile land!" The God of Darkness answered her. Years later, Elise brought down the Temple of Light, exiled the emperor, and became the new queen. Held in the god's arms, she was reminded of the oath she'd made all those years ago: "You will give me your entire body and soul." Elise: WTF. Nobody told me that the emperor and the saint were both secret identities of that bastard, the God of Darkness! Reading guide: 1. The female lead is a real piece of work. 2. Not traditional Western fantasy. This is just made-up nonsense. 3. The female lead is the most beautiful and the strongest. 4. Special thanks to my friend for coming up with the title. Here are three lines of thanks to my adorable, smart, and clever bestie, the cutest person in the world! (Hey, that's three lines!) Theme: In a difficult situation, you can only rely on yourself.
