I've Missed You for So Long

Everyone knew that Xu Zhishui had loved Qi Ran throughout her youth, everyone except Qi Ran.

In their senior year of high school, before she could confess the feelings she'd kept inside for so long, Qi Ran went abroad to study without leaving a single word behind.

Xu Zhishui burned everything connected to him. Her youth was over.

Years later, they met again. He was the young master of the Shengyuan Group, proud and aloof, elegant and self-possessed, the ideal man countless socialites longed to marry.

At their class reunion, a close friend leaned over and whispered gossip to Xu Zhishui: "Do you still like him?"

Xu Zhishui no longer had the same fire she once did. Her gaze lingered briefly on Qi Ran, and she shook her head sadly. "I don't like him anymore."

Her soft voice reached the man's ears. He lowered his eyes, his hand gripping the wineglass with restrained, trembling force.

Late that night, Xu Zhishui returned home and was about to unlock the door when the sharp scent of alcohol reached her.

The man embraced her from behind and kissed her almost out of control. His cool, thin lips brushed her earlobe, lingering and turning over and over. "But what am I supposed to do? I still like you."
