It’s All Thanks to My Spending

As the heir to the Chongyue Group, Shen Jisui has never been short of women eager to cozy up to him.

On a moment's softness, he helped a D-list actress, only for her to start clinging to him afterward.

What a nuisance.

Faced with her relentless pursuit, he rejected her without mercy. "Stop wasting your time on me. We can never be together."

Yu Mengli looked at him and nodded obediently. "All right."

Even so, Shen Jisui noticed her eyes redden as she walked away.

Later, when a friend asked if he had fallen for her, Shen Jisui looked at the woman shining onstage and finally relented. "That depends on how she plays her cards."

If she pursued him earnestly, he might consider it.

But Yu Mengli was busy making money every day, or on her way to making money, and paid him less and less attention...

Shen Jisui: Playing hard to get.

After Yu Mengli signed with a new agency, she discovered that the opportunities coming her way had suddenly become incredible.

Her manager slapped a pile of hit variety shows, luxury brand endorsements, and films by acclaimed directors down in front of her. "Little Yu, Mr. Shen says you can take your pick!"

Yu Mengli: ?

Mr. Shen? Which Mr. Shen?

When Shen Jisui learned it was all a misunderstanding and Yu Mengli had never been interested in him, he got drunk late into the night.

The next day, he put a dating contract in front of her.

"Making money is no fun. Make me yours, and you'll have everything."

Yu Mengli counted the amount written in the contract, then signed without hesitation.

Actually, it wasn't really for the money. She simply wanted to be a lovestruck fool.
