Lu Guishu, 28, writes for a living under the pen name “Eighteen-Skill All-Rounder.” A legendary author of online fiction and a devoted method writer, he's swept streets, driven long-haul routes, scavenged garbage, and worked as a farmer for research. He lives up to his pen name: his side gigs are countless, so he never has to worry about going broke between jobs.

For a character in his new novel, he digs out the Class B2 license he got ten years ago to drive long-distance and applies to become a heavy truck instructor at Beiyue Driving School.

Qin Beiye, 24, makes a living eating, drinking, and having fun. From feeding fish, teasing cats, and walking dogs to flying planes, driving sports cars, parkour, and bungee jumping, he'll try anything. His side gig is investing, and whatever he invests in turns a profit. An unremarkable little money-making genius whose own account balance scares him. One day, Qin Beiye is invited to visit the Beiyue Driving School he invested in.

A goofy, sweet story about a famous author becoming a truck instructor for his novel, and an investment tycoon enrolling as a driving student to pursue his beloved.
